The Coach House / Balmore

The Coach House was a much-loved institution in the local area, run by a local couple as a café and shop where all profits were distributed to charity. As the couple grew older, they relocated the business and decided to convert the Coach House to become their home. We worked closely with the couple on this historic building to create a sensitive yet contemporary home which respects the existing building but is fit for modern living. The existing form of the building was underpinned and retained with new windows, doors & much-needed insulation whilst a new contemporary extension was added.
